Juniors & seniors will attend a mock DUI crash on 4/4 during 4th block. The scene will be worked as a real accident w/emergency services & be followed by a mock trial. If you DO NOT want your child to attend, he/she needs to pick up a form & return signed to the office by 4/3.
Students from GCSSD joined over 260 of their high school peers in Nashville on March 5 to express their views on public education in Tennessee at the TSBA Student Congress on Policies in Education (SCOPE). This event took place on the Belmont University Campus.
Students attending were Amerah Landrum (Gibson County High School) and Ryan Bayliss and Eli Brown (South Gibson County High School).
This was an awesome opportunity for our students!

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national, non-profit career and technical student organization (CTSO) of middle school and high school students engaged in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Since TSA was chartered in 1978, over 5,000,000 student members have participated through competitions, intracurricular activities, leadership opportunities, community service, and more.
Technology Student Association (TSA) enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in STEM, whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.
Some of our students chose job shadowing today. We appreciate Lt. Kelvin Tosh and Judge Bradley Owens showing them the ropes.

Mr. Wallace’s welding class has been hard at work tackling a cattle mineral feeder project as well as creating some decorative wall pieces out of horse shoes. Stay tuned for the sale of these pieces in the future.

Auston Cash and Steve Argo's classes had a guest speaker this morning. We were glad to welcome Roger Smith and Tyson Ramey from Rides 4 Rugrats.

The MLR classes and their teacher, Mr. Auston Cash, are very excited! A 1965 Ford Mustang 289 was donated to our school by Elnora Graves. The car has 92,000 original miles. We are so thankful for the generosity shown by this gift!
